Available slips or pier space may be obtained at a rate of $2.10 per foot per day, including water, plus a charge of $8 per day for a single 30-amp electrical connection or $15 per day for a dual 30-amp or for a single 50-amp connection. 

We have separate reciprocity agreements with the following yacht clubs:

• Wicomico Yacht Club for $1.00 per foot plus electric.
• Indian Creek Yacht Club for $1.85 per foot plus electric and the second night free.
• Chesapeake Yacht Club for $1.00 per foot plus electric.

The Pier Chairman is authorized to give a discount of 10 to 40% for extended stay transients (one week to 28 days respectively). Refunds are not granted for unused days. Stays of greater than 28 days are not allowed. Please contact the Fleet Captain [embed email link] for details and pricing.

Each transient captain is required to use DOCKWA for reservations and payments. In your reservation, please note your yacht club or other affiliation. All relevant vessel information, including your boat insurance, must be up to date in Dockwa.

Each transient captain receives two drink coupons at no additional charge. 

U.S. government vessels will be accommodated at no charge when space is available.

4-hour docking: 

• Boaters - affiliated with a reciprocal yacht club, AGLCA, MTOA, or another organization that has been granted privileges by the SIYC Commodore or Board - may tie their boats at the SIYC pier for a short time (not to exceed four hours). 
• SIYC also has two spots for dinghies. These spots are closest to the shore on either side of our south pier (our main pier) and are floating docks.
• Adequate personnel must remain on the premises in case the boat must be moved.

• Upon check-in, each transient captain receives two drink coupons at no additional charge. 
• We have free Wifi.
• Bicycles are available at no charge.
• We have a Weber Gas Grill located outside the bathhouse for transient boaters’ use.
• Each slip has a water spigot, although for cooling boat air conditioners, please do not draw water from the pier water spigots.
• Our climate-controlled bathhouse is open 24/7.
• A washer and dryer are available on the dock side of the bathhouse for transient boater’s use.
• Our transient boaters and other guests are welcome to use our covered pavilion, the Crab Shack.
• Our Captain’s Lounge offers limited food service Wednesdays through Saturdays. Within walking distance, you’ll also find more than a dozen restaurants and three ice cream shops.
• Calvert County has a free pump out station available 0.2nm up the creek from our pier.
• The view from our clubhouse deck is fabulous. Feel free to purchase a drink in our lounge and bring it up to the deck.

• Dockside connections (electrical pigtails and water hoses) and adequate mooring lines must be provided by the boater. 
• Lines, power cords and water hoses will not extend across the pier or finger piers. 
• Electrical lines must be of proper marine standard and correct polarity.
• Due to the configuration of our docks, dockside storage boxes are not allowed. 
• If a power cord is left at the slip when the boat is gone for any period of time, the cord must be disconnected from the electrical outlet. 
• Open fires for cooking are not permitted on the pier or aboard boats secured to the pier. Transient boaters are welcome to use SIYC’s Weber Gas Grill located outside the bathhouse.
• All transient boaters must have minimum liability insurance coverage of at least $300,000. The required proof of insurance must be in your Dockwa profile, and captains should be prepared to provide proof upon request.

• In compliance with our liquor license, no alcoholic beverages of any kind are permitted to be brought onto club grounds, including the patio and lawn. Any beverages consumed on club property, alcoholic or nonalcoholic, must be purchased at or through the club bar.
• This restriction applies to all of our club functions.
• When picnicking on club premises, members, their guests, transient boaters and other visitors must purchase beverages from the club.
• Wine corkage as authorized by the SIYC Board of Governors. 
• Open alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the parking lot.

Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.

Dress code: SIYC is a casual club, but members, their guests, and our transient visitors are required to wear shoes and shirts in the clubhouse.

Pets: Although our club is full of pet-lovers, no pets are allowed in the SIYC clubhouse or in bathhouse facilities. On club grounds, pets must be under their owners' control, either under voice command or on a leash. Aggressive dogs must be leashed. As required by Calvert County, pets must be leashed when they leave the club's private property. Please clean up after your pet during your stay. Across the street from the club, the Solomons boardwalk has pet “deposit” stations with free bags, and the boardwalk water fountains include pet watering bowls.

Service animals: In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service animals are allowed in the SIYC clubhouse and bathhouse. Under the ADA, service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities.

• Service dogs are working animals, not pets.
• Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.
• A service dog must be housebroken and under the control of its handler.
• Club staff or officers may only ask whether the dog is a service animal required because of a disability and what work or task has the dog been trained to perform.
• Certificates, special IDs or vests are not required for the dog. Service dogs are not allowed in the Club’s kitchen and food preparation areas. 

Smoking: Our clubhouse and bathhouse are smoke-free. Smoking is allowed on the patio when open, and there is a cigarette butt receptacle on the patio.

Trash: Trash disposal is available in the dumpster at the front of the bathhouse. To discourage insects and animals from dumpster-diving, please bag your trash before depositing it in the dumpster and close the dumpster doors after discarding your trash.

Ice: SIYC can provide ice cubes for our transient boaters; bring your own bag or cooler. The nearest location to purchase bagged ice is Bunky’s, about one block northwest of the club (as you leave the club parking lot, turn right).

Fuel: Solomons Yachting Center, directly across from SIYC's north pier, and Spring Cove Marina, 0.9nm up Back Creek from our club, sell fuel. Both marinas also offer pump out services.

Rules of conduct: We ask that all of our visitors treat our members, guests, and staff with courtesy and respect in the clubhouse, on club property, and at all club events. Remember the Golden Rule and treat others as you would wish to be treated at all times.
